Google Maps is a desktop web mapping service developed by Google. It offers satellite imagery, street maps, 360° panoramic views of streets (Street View), real-time traffic conditions (Google Traffic), and route planning for traveling by foot, car, bicycle (in beta), or public transportation.
1 Search for your location in Google. From the results page there should be a right hand panel with your business details. One of the picture will be a map. Click on this to go to the Google maps.
2 The top left “hamburger” icon will display a list of settings etc. One of them is to share or embed your map. Click this one.
3 Next a pop up window will appear with two tabs at the top. It opens with the sharing code to copy. Click on the embed tab for the map. You can select a starting size here and the code should already be highlighted for you to copy, so just press cntrl+c on your keyboard (or similar depending on the OS). The size can be tweaked later as well as the attributes are within the script tags.
4 Paste this code into your website’s template to display the map.
Now add some interest and value to your contact page by displaying a google map and fine tune it to display as much or as little fine detail as you want.
